Italian spider lift manufacturer Platform Basket has opened a new Canadian company - PB Canada based in Mississauga on the south west side of Toronto, Ontario.
The chief executive of the new company is Platform Basket export manager Davide Franzini, but the new operation will be managed on a day to day basis by Nick Yannuzzi, who joined the company in November after three years with CMC dealer Momentum Lift Equipment which is based in nearby Etobicoke. He was general manager at the company which sells and rents CMC spider lifts and Almac/ AlmaCrawler booms and scissor lifts.
His brief for the new business is to step up sales in the area along with customer service and support for Platform Basket’s range of spider lifts and to develop strategic partnerships in the area. The new facility already has a number of Platform Baskets, more popular models in stock ready to deliver.
Platform Basket said: “This new branch will allow Platform Basket to reach existing customers in Canada more efficiently and quickly, and to develop new business opportunities in this key region. Toronto is one of the most dynamic and innovative cities in Canada, globally recognised as a centre of excellence in many sectors.”
Davide Franzini added: "This is an exciting step for Platform Basket, at a time of great growth and expansion of our international presence. The opening of this new branch marks a significant step in our international expansion and strengthens our commitment to serving customers in the North American market, reflecting our dedication to providing innovative and high-quality solutions to our customers worldwide. We are excited to work closely with local businesses and communities to build lasting and successful relationships."
